T20 WORLD CUP 2022

Sunil Gavaskar, T20 World Cup 2022: A Game Changer for Indian Team

T20 World Cup 2022 is the next big event in cricket. It will take place in Australia between October 16 and November 13. Many teams have already begun preparations for the T20I series bilateral, which includes India, which is currently playing in the five-match T20I against South Africa.

India's forgetful campaign in the previous multi-team tournament was notable. The 'Men in Blue' were a strong team, but they couldn't make it to the group stage. They were eliminated early from the tournament. India is now under Rohit Sharma's leadership and will try to turn the tide.

India will explore several options before locking down their final 15 players for the big event in Australia. Sunil Gavaskar, the former India skipper, has chosen one star who could prove to be a game-changer for India in the tournament and in the future.

Gavaskar was kind enough to praise Hardik Pandya for his recent return to the national team after a very successful IPL season. Hardik donned the Indian jersey on June 9 in the first T20I against South Africa. The 28-year old Hardik smashed an unbeaten 31 from 12 balls on his return to India, helping India get to 211/4.

Hardik didn't play in any competitive games since the 2021 T20 World Cup. There were also doubts about his bowling. The Baroda cricketer was a great captain, as well as an all-rounder for the IPL franchise Gujarat Titans. He was able to finish the tournament with 487 runs and picked up eight wickets including his career-high 3/17 in final.

"I believe he will be the game-changer in India's matches, not only the World Cup, but every match that India plays. 5 regardless of whether he is in the bowl at the first or second change. Gavaskar stated on Star Sports that sometimes I will want to see him with the ball.

Daryl Mitchell, the New Zealand all-rounder, smashed another brilliant hundred in the second innings against England. He continued his fine form in the ongoing second test at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.

After Ben Stokes, England skipper, asked the Black Caps to bat first, the 31-year old hit 190 (318).

Mitchell and Tom Blundell (106 runs off 198) came to New Zealand's aid, adding 236 runs to their partnership for the fifth wicket.

New Zealand scored 553 runs in their first essay, with Mitchell and Blundell scoring productive tons.

Mitchell's classy strokes were entertaining and he also hit a six that landed in a beer fan's glass. It happened in the 56th Over, when Jack Leach, England off-spinner, was bowled.

The Barmy Army, England's cricket fan, later revealed that Susan, a female fan of the team, had received a replacement pint from the Kiwis. "Susan, the lady who Daryl Mitchell's pint hit earlier, has been replaced by the Kiwi team," said the Barmy Army

The Indian Premier League (IPL), is an extremely popular cricket event around the globe. IPL is one the fastest-growing sports tournaments, with a huge fan base across the globe.

Because it brings together the most talented players, the cash-rich league has been called the toughest tournament in the world. It is easy to see why IPL's popularity is so wide. This can be explained by the fact that IPL matches are not played in international series. Many cricketers look forward to IPL season because it offers them lucrative contracts and the chance to be in the same room as the best.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India organizes the IPL every year. The popularity of the T20 tournament has grown tremendously over the years. However, IPL still has a long way to go before it becomes the most popular sports league in the world. But, Sourav Ganguly, President of BCCI, has boldly claimed that IPL generates more income than the English Premier League (EPL), which is the most-watched sport league in the world.

"I have seen the game grow, with players like myself earning a few hundred dollars and now having the potential to earn crores. This game is managed by the fans, the people of the country and the BCCI, which was founded by cricket fans. This sport is strong, and it will continue to grow. The IPL is more profitable than the English Premier League. It makes me happy and proud that the sport that I love has developed to be so strong," Ganguly said at the India Leadership Council Event.

Recently, both sides met in the first match at Delhi's Arun Jaitley stadium. The visitors lost 7 wickets to the 'Men in Blue'.

Barabati's tracks have always been slower than other formats, so expect the spinners to dominate the evening. The humidity will bring dew into play due to the high levels of humidity.Chahal was not selected for the Men In Blue's team at last year's T20 World Cup. Chahal was chosen ahead of Chahal to be the leg-spinner. Chahal and Varun Chakravarthy did not impress and were removed from national reckoning.Sanjay Bangar, a Star Sports host, was asked if Chahal would not only play a major role in Team India's T20 World Cup squad but also be a key player in the XI. He replied:"Yuzvendrachahal was a player that was missing a lot at the last World Cup. He will be a strong trump card for Australia and bring Indian success." Former Indian batting coach, Chahal placed Chahal in high regard as a leg-spinner of Team India. Bangar observed:.

Anil Kumble is the only leg-spinner who has been consistent for a long period of time for India. Yuzvendra Chahal is the wrist-spinner who has been consistent for India over a long period of time after Anil Kumble.
